The Standard Group is a communications company specializing in printing and marketing. They host an annual seminar for clients with tips on improving marketing efforts and to demonstrate new service offerings.
The theme for the 2013 seminar was marketing automation, a simple idea to introduce a complicated automated multi-channel personalization service. To illustrate the potential of such a service, we designed a direct mail invitation package urging recipients to register for the event. A vintage toy robot was sent with each invitation to serve as a fun reminder. With an 18% response rate, the campaign was a success, attracting industry attention and awards.
